Okay, enough about economics, let’s talk about selling your home.
I usually pay for an Arizona home stager to talk to my clients about how to make their homes look fanstastic. Often the homes already look great and the Arizona home stager builds on that.
The basic concept in home staging is, “How you live in a home and how you sell a home are different.”
Here are the before and after photos of a home I recently sold. You can see the home sellers did a fantastic job of staging the home with a little extra advice from the Arizona home stager.

I was getting a great response from people who toured the interior but no offers. I thought the curb appeal was the problem. The blah curb appeal just didn’t match the beautiful interior.
Once you walked up the entryway toward the front door, the tree trunks and branchs were absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the trees cast so much shade that from the street in looked like the walkway entered a cave. The front door was also shaded so the home didn’t feel inviting from the street.
I contacted a buddy who is a landscape architect. He trimmed up the trees, removed the out of place fan palm that blocked the view of the entry walkway and front door, and removed another plant and a cactus.
It’s not shown in this photo which was taken after the home sold but the landscape architect also moved some large gorgeous blue pots from the backyard to near the front door to draw the eye toward the entryway with color.
He also used stakes to mark where the homeowners could plant 3 groundcovers. Before the homeowners had a chance to put in the plants, they received an offer.
