Love the new inventory creation graph but more history would be useful in analyzing the trends. By this graph it does appear that inventory is set to either level off or even decline. But is it normal for the supply to equal demand at the end of the calander year? This is a small sample, any way to give us more history?
“But is it normal for the supply to equal demand at the end of the calander year?”
Clay, in 2001 - 2004 sales went down and inventory with up in January. It didn’t in 2005 but the market was too weird then to worry about.
“This is a small sample, any way to give us more history?”
I have more history… but it would open up a can of worms. There is something startling in the data. I think the anomalies “explain” why the prices went off the chart. But I can not explain why the anomalies happened. It would take a super long post to cover it.

I would love to see what you mean by: I think the anomalies “explain” why the prices went off the chart
You could just post the data and simply let the comments roll.
Can of worms: That is the fun stuff!
