Scottsdale growth slows as city approaches build-out

by John Wake on January 10, 2007

It’s been years since there were tracts of land available in Scottsdale that were large enough for a new master planned community.

The City of Scottsdale estimates by the year 2020 Scottsdale will essentially be built-out with little unbuilt vacant land remaining.

The reason? People love living in Scottsdale.

“We absolutely love it,” David Porter said. “There’s so much to do here — we’re like kids in a candy store.”

I read where there were 4 undeveloped parcels of land for sale in Scottsdale.

Maybe we should set a limited partnership up and buy them and hold or develop in a few years.

Also I bet that the few remaining horse properties (one of the things that gave Scottsdale its appeal)will skyrocket in value over the next few years.
