A fence built ” over the line” and on your property can be a mess if not handled promptly and correctly. The correct proceedure varies from state to state. Some require you give the offender a certain period of time, AFTER you notify him in writing, to correct the problem. Prompt written notification is essential. If you delay you might lose some or all of your rights.
