4 bedrooms in Scottsdale for $350,000! Nice.

August 1st, 2007 · 2 Comments

This floorplan which was customized has great flow and 4 bedrooms in 1,795 square feet. Easy living.

In addition, and not included in that square footage, there is a detached workshop used as an office with 3 phone lines and high speed internet. Now, that’s a private office!

It’s walking distance to Mohave Middle School where my two sons went to school. (Go Wildcats!) And, of course, it’s in the Scottsdale Unified School District.

This is a great location, convenient to shopping, the 101 Freeway, and all the activities in downtown Scottsdale, golf, WestWorld…

Regarding property photos - as we’re aware, the majority of home buyer start their search on the internet, and view homes online prior to viewing a home in person.

When photographing a home interior, the use of a wide-angle, low-distortion lens is very important so that prospective buyers can get a sense of the space. Equaly important, all vertical lines need to be vertical. The best way to achieve this is at the time of the photoshoot, using a tripod to unsure the camera is dead level.

The most common problem seems to be ’shooting down’ I you are standing and shooting at eye level, you will be more than likely shooting down into the room, making the verticals converge and at the same time, presenting a view that a person wouldn’t see when visiting the home in person.

Lighting is also important to control, so that there is as much as possible a good balance between natural light and fill flash. Post processing a digital image is very important. This can help correct color balance, light/dark balance sharpening of the image and more.

    Karl,

I’ve tried a few photographers but I found I could do it better myself. I would prefer to just pay someone to shoot the home but I want great photos. Great photos are super important for internet marketing. I haven’t found the right person yet. Call me.

I shoot in raw format with a Nikon 80 and interiors with a Sigma 10-20 lens. I do a ton of post processing with Photoshop Elements and a couple of plugins.

I appreciate your tip on dead level. That’s a challenge for me when shooting with a wide angle lens. Perhaps if I bought a better, lighter tripod I would be less reluctant to use it. Or, if I just realize that it is going to take me 2 hours to shoot the home so don’t rush it.

Karl, who do you know who would want to live in this home?
