EXCLUSIVE - Graphic presentation created by John Wake, Associate Broker, HomeSmart Real Estate, using ASU data.
Farewell to these graphs!
This will be the last month I will make these graphs based on ASU data.
I am now creating new zip code level graphs of home sales, median sale price and median price per square foot.
The new graphs are far superior to the graphs based on ASU data because;
- The new graphs cover the number of homes sold and median price per square foot, in addition to median home price,
- The new graphs cover almost all of Maricopa county where the ASU data was restricted to 14 major cities, and
- The new graphs break down the data to the zip code level - over 120 metro Phoenix zip codes are covered.
There are over 40 zip codes, for example, in Phoenix. The prices and trends for Phoenix as a whole are much less useful for the individual homeowner than seeing the data for their own zip code.
To help clear some time in my schedule to update and maintain the new zip code graphs, I will stop making these charts.
