    For aging boomers, John Stewart was a presence in their lives. The Trio in the sixties, a writer-rocker in the seventies. (And a star in Phoenix.)

    Sixty-eight is a youngish age to go, but he had a fifty-year career doing what he wanted. Hard to beat that.
