Phoenix real estate market outlook from ARMLS chief

by John Wake on January 21, 2010

As opposed to many real estate industry officials, I respect the views of Bob Bemis the CEO of the Phoenix area multiple listing service (ARMLS). It’s worth watching.

I know of no restrictions on foreigners buying real estate in Arizona. There are federal restrictions on foreigners living in the United States, of course, but not on owning real property. However, when foreigners sell real estate, there are some special tax withholding requirements to help ensure capital gains taxes due, if any, are paid.
