I heard this story last year, third hand. It has all the markings of an urban legend but I’m going to assume it’s true.

A Realtor visiting Las Vegas struck up a conversation with a gal at a casino. When he said he was a Realtor, the gal got interested and said she used to be a Realtor.

The conversation unfolded that she had been a prostitute but during the real estate boom had become a real estate agent. Alas, she had recently returned to prostitution.

“I couldn’t take the hit to my self-esteem being a Realtor. In prostitution, I get paid up front.”
