You can now see an updated week of home sales in the individual zip code pages. Warning The zip code charts are NOT updated even though I have the data for May. I can’t update the charts because my web host updated their version of PHP and the charting software I use is no longer [...]
Wow! Phoenix home sales continued to be huge through May and the inventory of homes listed for sale in metro Phoenix continued to tank through mid-June. But the median home price continues to be essentially flat which I did not expect. The groundwork has been laid for the median home price in metro Phoenix to [...]
Okay, if I knew Photoshop better, I would put some flames coming out of the engines just to get in touch with my inner 12 year old. Click image to go to Google Maps.
Find your Phoenix area zip code in the sidebar and click-through to see the latest week of homes sold.
U.S. home prices have fallen more than during the Great Depression. From the U.K. Independent (U.K.!?) In an earlier post I said, “This graph says it all.” Then I graphed out the Phoenix Case-Shiller index by price tiers. Wow! In my opinion there are strong indications that the long awaited housing recovery is about to begin in the city that became the poster child for home building excess – Phoenix, Arizona. Things are changing so fast, this new outlook [...]
There’s a lot to like about this story out of Florida. Bank of America tried to foreclose on these Florida homeowners… except the homeowners didn’t owe BofA any money. So, the homeowners sued to get back the legal fees they spent defending themselves against the screw-ups at BofA and the homeowners won in court. The [...]
On Arizona Real Estate Notebook I don’t show you Phoenix homes for sale if the seller has already accepted a contract from another buyer, of course. It’s not rocket science. I know you don’t want to see those homes so I don’t show them to you. Compare to Zillow Phoenix where you can’t tell which [...]
This graph says it all Phoenix home prices are where they were back in January 2000… and that’s without adjusting for inflation. In real inflation-adjusted dollars, Phoenix home prices are much less than they were 11 years ago.
